For the past 11 years that I have been a listing agent serving East Dade County, I’ve noticed one thing, in particular.
That is…most of our Miami listings sell between December and April. It is no coincidence that this is peak tourist season for Miami. Peak Season in Miami showcases wonderful weather that attracts visitors from around the world and world class events (Boat Show, Tennis Tournament, Art Basel, Coconut Grove Art Festival, etc.).
Indications are that this peak season will be no different. As a matter of fact, interest rates remain historically low (less than 4% in some instances) and Miami housing supply has come down dramatically over the past 14 months. These are reasons to purchase real estate in Miami now (rather than sitting on the sidelines). It is worth noting that a 1% interest rate increase on a $600,000 loan equals an additional $357/month on each monthly mortgage payment.
